Nate is one of our hardest working players. His dedication on and off the field is paying off in the weight room this off-season. With a 415 squat, 265 bench and 385 deadlift he’s going to be a force to reckon with this fall!

Week of 5/23/22:

Cade Riddle

Perhaps no other player on our team epitomizes the heart of the 2022 Bulldogs more than Cade Riddle. After being an all-league player last season, Cade has faced an injury setback that has undoubtedly been tough to handle. However, rather than dwell on the negative, Cade has instead chosen to continue to be a leader in our off-season workouts. He has been helping develop some of our younger players and has made a major impact on their progress. Cade’s leadership and perseverance have not gone unnoticed. Recently, Cade received an offer to play at Lawrence Tech. More offers are a definite possibility, as multiple schools have shown interest. Cade’s future in football is bright, and his leadership role on our team this fall is essential to our success!

Week of 5/16/22:

Braeden Chiles

Braeden Chiles has an incredibly busy schedule as a three-sport athlete, yet still finds time to be one of our most dedicated players. His hard work in the weight room has made him a major contributor in football, basketball and baseball. As part of our 1,000 pound club, Braeden has demonstrated the type of strength needed to play defensive end this fall. He also returns as our kicker after having a 2021 season in which he was 28 for 29. He continues that effort into the classroom as well, by carrying a 4.06 GPA. On and off the field, there is no doubt that Braeden’s work ethic will lead him to an excellent junior year!

Week of 5/2/22:

Brendan Boley

Few players in our program have done more to improve this off-season than Brendan Boley. In just six months, by focusing on nutrition and effort in the weight room, Brendan has gained over 20 pounds. His weight room numbers have skyrocketed from where they were last season, and he now squats 300 plus pounds easily. Brendan is a great example for our younger players in terms of his attitude and approach to hard work. He has done everything possible to put himself in position for a solid senior year!

Week of 4/25/22:

Lukas Alamat

Lukas Alamat will be one of our most improved players as he begins his senior year. This is due to his consistent effort this off-season. From playing Legacy football this winter to lifting hard in the weight room, Lukas has shown the type of work ethic that his teammates respect. His infectious positive attitude has been a major contribution to bringing our team together over the past year. Lukas embodies the type of team-first attitude that will lead us to success next fall!

Week of 4/18/22:

Nick Thalacker

As one the strongest players to come through Brighton over the last several years, Nick Thalacker will have an impact this fall. Nick, a senior offensive and defensive lineman, has set multiple records in the weight room. In the 242 pound weight class, his squat of 500, power clean of 245, and deadlift of 505 are all at the top of the school records board. Nick will be one of a very few select players who will see time on both sides of the ball this season. The strength that he has developed in the weight room makes him an essential part of both units.

Week of 4/11/22:

Luke Frisinger

As he enters his third year as a varsity player, Luke Frisinger is poised to have a standout season. His dedication to every aspect of his training, from nutrition to weightlifting, is a testament to his desire to excel. Luke has demonstrated what having a consistent work ethic can do with a squat of 405 and a deadlift of 455. He will be one of the keys to our defense this year as a linebacker. The off-season work that he has put in will contribute to his ability to have a major impact on the team's success!

Week of 4/5/22:

Jackson Seremet

For the past three years, Jackson has done nothing but improve as a result of his effort in the weight room. Rarely missing a workout, Jackson has increased his total weight on the bench press, squat and deadlift by 160 pounds. Due to this effort, he is a player that his teammates know they can count on. He is a true team player and is incredibly well-liked because of the attitude that he brings every day. We look forward to seeing his efforts pay off next season!

Week of 3/21/22:

Hayden Lorius

As a result of putting in tremendous work this off-season, Hayden Lorius is quickly becoming one of the main leaders on the offensive and defensive lines. He is a mainstay in the weight room, and he often stays after lifting sessions to put in more work. His most recent test results included a 520 pound deadlift and a 455 pound squat, so clearly his effort is paying off. Hayden is already attracting interest from Division 1 schools, including Michigan State, despite only being a sophomore. His approach to this off-season is going to make him a force next fall!

Week of 3/14/22:

Griffin Bell

One of our most committed players this off-season has been Griffin Bell. After sustaining a season ending injury last fall, Griffin has worked tirelessly to return to the form that had him on track for an outstanding junior year. As a third-year varsity player, Griffin has emerged as a leader in the weight room. Never missing any of our workouts so far has not only allowed him to rehab his knee, but also has helped him put up one of our top bench press maxes at 260 pounds. Griffin has embodied everything that we need to have a great season next fall!
